Rockaway Health Collective is a network of the run clubs, surf groups, and fitness groups on the peninsula. Member groups register, name trained Safety Leads, and borrow a shared AED and first aid kit for their runs and sessions, so every group has someone looking out.

Your group registers.
You pick up the kit.

01

Register

Sign up your club or group and name two Safety Leads, so there is always a backup.

02

Get trained

Safety Leads hold a current CPR/AED card from the American Heart Association or Red Cross. No card yet? We will help them get certified.

03

Pick up the kit

Book the AED and first aid kit for your run or session, pick it up, and return it after.

04

If something happens

Your Safety Lead calls 911, starts CPR, uses the AED if needed, and guides EMS to the scene. Then lets us know within 24 hours.

Each member group manages its own Safety Leads. Safety Leads are CPR/AED-certified community members, not a replacement for EMS. In an emergency, 911 is always called first.

When someone's heart stops, the first few minutes matter most. CPR and a shock from an AED before EMS arrives give them their best chance. We want that help minutes away on the boardwalk, not miles away.

safety net.

Run clubs, surf groups, gyms, and trainers keep their own identity, schedule, and members. The Collective is the shared safety net underneath: a shared AED and first aid kit, trained Safety Leads in every group, and one place to turn when you need help.
